Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interaction Science and Technology - Courses

General Information

The CAS coursework component, worth 9 ECTS credits, will be comprised of 10 full-day and 10 half-day courses, making for a total of 15 full days (8 hours per day) of courses. In order to fullfill the requirements for the CAS certification, students must obtain 'pass' grades for at least 12 of the 15 courses. 


The courses are divided into 5 themes:

Fundamentals: covering the basic aspects of humans, machines and social interaction. 

Interaction design: covering the key aspects of interaction design.

Interaction techniques: covering techniques that are particularly relevant to interaction science.

Interaction scope: covering 2 domains in which interaction is complex and which are becoming increasingly relevant for society.

Anticipating changes: focusing on what can be learned from evolution to help anticipate future design needs, and how the prevelence of digital technologies influences and potentially enhances individual businesses and the economy in general.
