Master of Advanced Studies in Interaction Science and Technology - Project

What it is

The MAS applied research project is a unique opportunity for students to get hands on experience working in a company on a concrete problem for them, while applying the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they learn in the courses and as part of the Learning Lab.

The project is worth 20 ECTS credits, and is done in collaboration with an industrial partner who proposes the topic. Students will work as interns directly at the company, with on-site supervision, as well as supervision by a Human-IST staff member. Ad-hoc and planned interactions with colleagues will provide a valueable real-life learning environment for students. Through the project, students will also gain exposure to market-driven applied research and innovation, and in some cases may even have the opporunitity to be part of a patent.

Students will also particiapte in a weekly Learning Lab seminar with Human-IST researchers and industrial partners. This seminar will be a structured opportunity to share ideas and problems with other students and researchers, discuss potential approaches/solutions, get feedback, and innovate.
