MIT Media Lab x Smart Living Lab Workshop – Part 2 (MISTI USA, 2024)


The second part of the MIT Media Lab x Smart Living Lab workshop has been held in Boston from November 12 to 15, 2024, as part of the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) program. This workshop follows the first successful session (summary) held in January in Fribourg, Switzerland, and continues to focus on interdisciplinary research in sensing, human-computer interaction, and the built environment.

Participants from the Smart Living Lab, which integrates members from the Human-IST Institute (University of Fribourg) and EPFL, will collaborate with MIT’s Responsive Environments and Fluid Interfaces groups. The event will include presentations, hands-on activities, and lab visits, providing a dynamic platform for furthering joint research in smart living spaces and human-centered technologies.

The workshop will be led by:
