Marisa Tschopp is part of HAITeC (critical human-AI teaming)

From September 23-25, Dr. Marisa Tschopp participated in a workshop on human-AI teaming at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) in Bochum. During the workshop, participants launched a new network (HAITeC) that will provide a structured platform for ongoing research, dialogue, and collaboration, aiming to advance understanding of human-AI teaming in workplace and organizational contexts.

For three days, the workshop brought together post-graduate scientists from different institutions to critically examine the concept of human-AI teaming, its ethical implications, and the ways humans perceive and interact with AI systems. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions, balancing critical analysis with openness, and explored questions of feasibility, perception, and responsible design. The workshop highlighted the unique role of psychologists in shaping this emerging field, and emphasized the importance of thoughtful, evidence-based approaches to so-called "human-AI collaboration".

To continue the discussions and collaborations, participants launched the HAITeC Network. HAITec stands for Human, AI, Teams, and emerging Collaboration, which sums up the research focus of this new network.
