"Chatty, show me some affection!"

What is the relationship between LLM chatbots and humans in the domain of psychological health? Human-IST senior researcher Dr. Jascha Bareis gave a virtual lecture inside the European Epicur Alliance, a partnership of European universities across the continent. 

Bareis presented some background data, about who uses chatbot LLMs and for what purposes.The students then discussed how known issues with LLMs use like errors (also known as hallucinations), biases, privacy infringements and addictive design are a problem for human-machine interaction - especially in therapy and mental health set-ups.
