Dr. Tschopp on the main stage of re:publica 26

Dr. Marisa Tschopp will deliver a keynote on the main stage at re:publica 26, one of Europe’s most renowned conferences on digital society, technology, and media.

Dr. Tschopp will address fundamental questions about the evolving relationship between humans and Artificial Intelligence. While AI systems have traditionally been understood as tools, they are increasingly perceived as social actors, for example as assistants, colleagues, or even potential relationship partners. This shift raises important questions regarding social dynamics, decision making, and ethical implications. Dr. Tschopp will present current research findings in Human AI Interaction, psychological effects, and societal impact, encouraging a critical and reflective engagement with intelligent systems.

Re:publica brings together international thought leaders from academia, politics, industry, and civil society each year. The invitation to address human-AI relationships on the main stage highlights the growing relevance of scientifically grounded perspectives on the responsible development and use of AI technologies.

Dr. Marisa Tschopp is a senior researcher in Prof. Dr. Anna Jobin's research group, working on the SNSF-funded project "Performing Artificial Intelligence: Governance, Agency, Action–An Interdisciplinary Inquiry".
