Public Scholarship

SAIS considers the exchange of knowledge between research, politics, and society to be a central part of its work. Research insights need to circulate beyond academia and be translated into wider public arenas of society, from journalism to policy debates, from public lecture series to podcast, but also to be informed and challenged by experiences and questions from these arenas. We believe that research should be openly accessible, transparent, and communicated in ways that many people can understand and use. That is why SAIS aims to foster collaboration between academic and public stakeholders and involve of diverse perspectives. On this page, you can find out more about our committee memberships and publicly accessible media contributions such as journalistic articles, blog posts, interviews and podcast episodes.
